Why does sony do this stuff to us?

i have a fat (phat) psp running 3.80 m33-5 and i love it. but i mean with all of sony's new line of hardware only for the slim it feels like im being left in the dust here. sony. dont give me this crap about "not enough ram" hackers and programers did it already. they are probably smarter than you. but w/e. does anyone else feel the same? that sony is just trying to get people to buy the slim by making hardware exclusivly for it. it seems wrong. people in the homebrew scene can do it. so why can't sony? i dont really even want to buy the slim. its hard to run homebrew on it.
