Best place in arkansas for family vacation?

I know the ozarks are supposed to be really pretty, but when looing for a vacation spot in Arkansas, which city should we travel to? We are looking for a beautiful scenic spot, but still very close to returaunts and activities! We travel to Gatlinburg, TN often, and we always get a cabin between towns so we are secluded, yet still close to everything and I was hoping someone could tell me if there is a simular place in Arkansas!
