Full Metal Alchimest Brotherhood?

I watched a few episodes of the first FMA that came on TV a long time ago, and thought it was pretty cool but never got into it. Now, years later, I wanna watch it again, but now there seems to be another series called Brotherhood? What is this? Does it come right after the original FMA, do I need to watch the original FMA before Brotherhood? Or..what?
