What is the penalty for selling counterfeit drugs in NJ?

A family member of mine was arrested today along with a 'friend' of his, supposedly for selling fake magic mushrooms to someone. This is not surprising, as it is something they have done before to fuel a drug habit. I don't know the details other than that; the kid who ran to my house to inform me is not the brightest of guys, so all I know is that he is arrested, and I'm pretty sure it's for the sale of fake mushrooms. Anyway, with one unrelated felony under his belt and a few other minor crimes, as well as the fact that he was about to be sentenced for said felony and was very likely to get off with only probation, what is going to happen to him? Bear in mind that as far as I know, the other guy was considered the seller, I'm pretty sure he was considered party to the crime in the worst way possible. I should also note that though I refer to him as kid, he is 18 years old, so he'll definitely be tried as an adult. Given this admittedly limited information, what do you think is going to happen to him?
