Did u worry about taking a newborn outside?

I was afraid of taking the baby outside because everyone always said 'don't let her catch wind' and sometimes she would and i would be up all night. So my advice is buy a cover for the car seat and transfer her in doors with the cover done up. It will be winter so I'm sure this makes sense anyway.
