My fighting fish (betta) is losing colour. Why?

Your fighter is sick, maybe of itch, try to separate him on a bare tank with plenty of aeration and filtration, (filter must be sponge , dont use external filter as it will suck all the treatment off the aquarium) put methylene blue in the aquarium plus salt, change every day 2/3 of the water, see if this will help
