Is it possible that the Lord could speak to a person in their dream?

I had a really bad dream that my Ex-mom in law was having a diabetic reaction on the floor, she was screaming in pain (which probably wouldn't happen in real life), and hollering for her boyfriend but he couldn't wake up to save her and I tryed to call her at 5:30am to see if she was okay. My husband says I'm "superstitious" and my Ex hubby yelled at me for waking his mom that early. My Ex doesn't live with his mom but of course he's going 2 take her side but I was really freaked out by this terrible dream. I woke up in tears and was thinking what if it's true and God was speaking to me in my dream? Is this possible?
